Daniel Gustavsson, Volvo Cars: “Looking forward to the Swedish Maintenance Fair”

Volvo Cars is getting involved in Underhållsmässan, the 2024 Maintenance Fair, and highlighting the needs it sees.
-The fair means a lot to our entire team. Above all, we’re looking forward to a learning event, relevant for everyone who works with maintenance,” says Daniel Gustavsson, maintenance manager at Volvo Cars.

Underhållsmässan 2024, which takes place from 12 to 15 March at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre in Gothenburg, will not just be about products. The focus is on the role of maintenance for a competitive and sustainable industry, which will be fully reflected in the extensive conference programme.

A trade fair for the whole team

Volvo Cars has been an important discussion partner in the planning process.

– Ever since the last edition of Underhållsmässan, we have had a close collaboration and creative dialogue on the programme and offerings at the fair, says Daniel Gustavsson, Maintenance Technology Manager at Volvo Cars.

– It’s an important meeting place for us. Especially important, from our point of view, is that it should be as relevant for maintenance managers as for engineers and maintenance technicians. This makes the event an even more important meeting place for all roles related to the field.

Focus on expertise

Next year, Volvo Cars will be involved in the Maintenance Fair in several ways.

– I myself am participating in the conference programme, where I will be discussing the continuous development of employees, skills development and the importance of strategic maintenance to strengthen the competitiveness of Swedish industry, Daniel says.

– We need to attract expertise and are currently examining ways in which we, possibly together with partners, can be visible at the fair.

Daniel is looking forward to a learning event and emphasises the importance of keeping his staff updated on current maintenance issues.

– What we are particularly looking forward to is being able to have a strategic dialogue, to discuss the importance of strategic maintenance and how it can be carried out. And how we can work together on skills development.

– At the same time, it is of course very interesting for our employees to walk around and look at different product innovations and solutions among the exhibitors.

Large visitor group

Expect a lot of visitors from Volvo Cars at Underhållsmässan 2024:

– Since we have a fairly large maintenance organisation, we usually send many visitors to the Swedish Maintenance Fair. Other employees from Volvo Cars also visit. We will be there next year as well, for sure!
