The deadline for applications is 31 October. The Maintenance Champions League is also being organised in connection with the Maintenance Fair 2020.

Maintenance Manager of the Year
The purpose of this award is to draw attention to role models in the industry. At the 2018 Maintenance Fair, the award was presented to Jimmy Öberg, Kopparberg’s Brewery.
The basis for selecting the Maintenance Manager of the Year 2020 consists of a very detailed report on the candidate’s development of the maintenance business with regard to methodology and the important goals that have been achieved in recent years.
The winner in this category is automatically nominated for the European award Euro Maintenance Manager of the Year.

Thesis of the Year
The purpose of the award is to stimulate higher education, research and development in the areas of maintenance and operational safety. Students who have completed a degree project in this field at one of Sweden’s colleges or universities are invited to participate in the competition.
The degree project must have been completed and approved during the years 2018-2019. A jury made up of representatives from technical high schools, universities and Swedish industry will then assess the contributions.
The winner in this category will be automatically nominated to the European competition, the Master Thesis Award.

Increased Productivity Award
The purpose of the award is to give visibility to the maintenance function’s efforts in raising the profitability of a supplier’s customers. It is a prize that has been awarded to a Nordic supplier once every two years since 1990. At the 2018 Maintenance Fair, the prize was awarded to Bauer Water Technology.
Among other things, the prize is intended to stimulate suppliers and buyers of maintenance products and suppliers to spread awareness of performance-driven maintenance and clearly show the economic benefits of maintenance.
The overall criterion in evaluating the submission for this award is a verified increase in profitability from the customer’s perspective. The submission thus becomes a measure of the company’s knowledge of the impact of maintenance efforts.

Maintenance Champions League
This competition about maintenance knowledge will take place at the Maintenance Fair on 10-13 March 2020. It will take place over two days and participation is free. Each team must consist of two people from the company represented.
The competing teams will answer a number of multiple-choice questions, based on the EFNMS European standards for maintenance technicians’ knowledge.

Award ceremonies
Award ceremonies for all of the above-named categories will take place as part of the Maintenance Fair on 10-13 March 2020. The programmes and schedules will be published shortly on underhall.se
